• Permission to work.
• Understand working condition of your Student Visa.
• Contact DIAC on 13 18 81 or visit www.immi.gov.au
• File for TFN number - to avoid paying the highest rate of tax you should give your employer your TFN. For information phone ATO on 13 28 61 or visit www.ato.gov.au

2.  My Entitlements

• Minimum rate of pay. 
• Entitled to penalty rates - nighshift, holidays and weekends. 
• Minimum number of hours per shift i can rostered and paid for 
• allowance for doing certain task. 
• check NES (National Employment Standards) apply mostly on casual jobs. 

3. Full Time - Part Time and Casual

• Full time - 38 hours a week + benefits (annual leave)
• Part-time - less hours but receive same benefits which are calculated on a proportionate or pro rata basis
